THE QUEEN'S DIAMOND JUBILEE
Queen Elizabeth II came to the throne on 6 February 1952, and The Coronation took place on 2 June 1953.
A Diamond Jubilee has only ever been celebrated in the UK once before – Queen Victoria, who reigned for more than 60 years, celebrated her Diamond Jubilee in 1897.
To mark 60 years of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, special Diamond Jubilee celebrations will take place over a ‘four day’ weekend between Saturday 2 June and Tuesday 5 June 2012.

In the year which celebrates the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens’s birthday, Acorn Theatre Company are very pleased to be presenting the timeless musical ‘Oliver!’. With music, lyrics and book by Lionel Bart, Dickens’s classic tale will be brought to life with vivid characters and familiar tunes including 'Food Glorious Food', 'Oom Pah Pah', 'As Long As He Needs Me' and many more. So ‘consider yourself one of us’ and book your tickets now for what is going to be a fantastic production! Contact our box office on 020 8807 1810 or select and pay for your tickets online. The Thursday, Friday and Saturday showings will be performed at 7.30pm and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 3pm. Proceeds from this production will be donated to the Friends of Cheviots Children's Centre, Enfield.
